A while back, a radio presenter was reading out a newspaper article about a piece of reasearch. In it the journalist had written "Scientists have said..." and the dj asked "Who are these scientists?"
A very good question.
So often we get snippets of research, simplified to insignificance, fed down to us from on high, with the comment 'Scientists have said' - as if that makes it unquestionable.
In this blog, I hope to write about research that may make it to the newspapers, and possibly some that doesn't.
I will also use it as a repository for more general thoughts on education, science, and potentially, life in general.
